to cut a long story short-
I have had loft insulation done in my property - one of them men fell through into my daughters bedroom leaving a huge hole in the ceiling. We've had alot of hassle going back and forth to get the problem sorted. We agreed on just a decorator to come patch things up - its ok but not professional. Next problem was the carpet had been left dirty with mucky marks and a few blobs of white paint, this had been noted from the start and as agreed he was to get us a cleaner. After lots of chasing he's finally arranged a date for himself to come round and do the job??? What MD has time to scrub my carpet? haha. I might as well do it myself, I wasnt happy because i would like a professional to clean is as this is a brand new cream carpet. My daughter is only 7 months old and has now been waiting 2 months for her to be able to sleep in her new bedroom.
Am i being picky? I think because of it being a large company they could at least pay £30 to hire a cleaner for the day to at least save their reputation?
He also made it out that i never told him about the paint on the carpet, good job i have the original complaint letter :-)
Tomorrow he said if im not happy with the job I can get the carpet assessed myself, but im guess he means for me to pay for it or he'd do this in the first place?
What should i do? Just let him do it and leave it as that? Or put my foot down and ask for the whole job to be done professionally because really, this bedroom should never have been touched.
Sorry for the essay. Any ideas?
