I was just cleaning my carpets and furniture, remembered something that was said to me by someone who homed one of my pups as well as remembering being at someones house last year.
I have always been very picky when it comes to keeping my house a home by it not smelling like I have a house full of dogs, which most of you know I do (5 dogs to be exact). I generally clean my carpets 1-2 times a month, vacuum and Febreze daily to make sure we can all live odor free.
One of the wonderful families who has one of my pups, had told me when she was here visiting last week that she has always been amazed at how clean my house always is and that it doesn't smell and has yet to see any fur anywhere. Stating that she had been at others breeders homes last year that she and her family became nauseated while visiting to see puppies due to the terrible smell odors.
I myself have been to one persons home, which looked clean yet the stench could knock you over!
I didn't even want to sit for fear of catching something!
I am very self conscious of my home smelling good and was wondering ....
1) Is anyone else obsessed with keeping their home clean or wondering whether or not their house has odors which they have just become accustom to?
2) Have you ever wondered why some people don't realise that their house smells horrendous?
3) Would you tell someone that their house smelt like their dog or a kitty litter box?
I have told people, although politely, because they wanted to know why I wouldn't stay and visit, so as I always say..don't ask me something if you don't want the honest truth.
@ Michelle ... I use Bissell Pet Stain & Odor advanced formula for the carpets and furniture and for my hardwood and tile floors I use Simple Solutions Stain & Odor remover Hardfloors. Both work great! All of my dogs like yours are allowed on the furniture.
I aslo clean their beeding once a week and add liquid febeze laundry odor eliminator to the detergent in the wash. Don't want my bedroom smeling nasty as they all sleep in my room at night.
