Unlike most German Shepherds, my dog did not shed or caste her coat in the house. My floors were never thick with hair. When I groomed her, it seemed to take forever to get the undercoat out. Consequently I bought a Furminater. After using this several times a week and grooming her in the garden for a lenthy period, I find that she always looks tuffty and un groomed and my carpets are a mess. Has anyone had this problem and does the Furminater actually promote the growth of hair. Before I used this, she did not have a lot of hair on her belly, now it's thick and she is shedding/casting all over the house. Should I stop using the Furminator and revert to my previous grooming equipment.
Mr Natural.I have had GSD's forever, I know that they normally shed and caste their coats on the carpets. My latest GSD did not do this until I used the Furminator. I spend more time grooming her now than I did before
