Do you think Sam's over reacting? Or do you think this could possible happen in a family. My parents split so most of Sam's actions and feelings are alot how I felt. I just didn't do the running up stairs. Lol
He walked into the living room where Sam was sat. His mom followed, her face burning with anger but reluctant to say anything whilst Sam was still in ears shot. They both sat down, on different sofas. His dad sat next to Sam. Sam looked at them both. His dad looked at his mom and his mom looked at Sam. Finally his mom spoke.
?We wanted to speak to you, today, because we felt it was the right.?
She paused, looking for the right words.
?Your dad and me, we're not getting on. And that's not your fault. But thing's are going to change.?
?I don't understand,? Sam began.
?Listen Sam. Sometimes, people grow apart, and stop loving each other. There's nothing people can do to stop it, it just happens. And that's what's happened with your dad and me. Sam, we're getting a divorce. Your dad's going to be moving out soon.?
Sam listened, shocked and not wanting to hear anymore. But his mother continued.
?We're not going to stop loving you or stop caring for you. It's just that we won't be in the same home. Do you understand??
Sam looked at the carpet. He could feel tears welling up inside him. He couldn't speak. He quickly glanced at his father. He was looking at the floor too.
?Thomas, say something,? his mother said firmly.
?It's just like what your mom said. I'm going to move out. You come and visit me whenever you want. It'll just be a second home.?
His dad tried to make t sound better than it was, but he couldn't fool Sam.
Tear where burning Sam's eyes now. He clench his teeth, determined not to cry out. He needed to get out. He needed to just be alone and think. He could feel his mothers eyes focused on him.
He got up.
?Sam,? his mom began.
?I gotta go,? he replied, his voice unstable.
?Please sit down.?
He ignored her and walked to the door.
?Don't blank your mom!? his father called after him, but he was already in the hall and racing up the stairs to his room.
When he reach the top, he flung himself into his room and slammed the door behind him.
