So I melted my new bedroom carpet a little in 3 places trying to dry it(it was saturated in water) anyway the carpet is ruined in those three places. I can't just walk up to mum and say "I ruined the carpet" as she kinda has OCD when it comes to cleaning and her house .I know if I tell her face to face she will scream before hearing me out. So, I'm going to write her a letter explaining what happened , that I'm sorry, I'm going to give her my phone and iPod touch (to give back when she feels I've been punished enough) , I tried fixing it in panic by cutting the burnt so I will tell her I will help her patch the carpet if necessary (we have spare matching carpet in the cupboard) . Would you write a letter? I've hid it for 4 days under my dressing gown hoping she doesn't move it and see the disaster underneath . I really don't want her to read the letter look at the carpet and go crazy . So I'm leaving the letter out before I leave for school so she has the day to think about it(and calm down) ... Is this a wise thing to do?
