She is 8 and staying with her Nain (grandmother) for a week so I thought I'd have a go at decorating her room (I don't usually do the decorating so wallpapering is probably out!) She has the small boxroom so I want it to appear bigger and cosy at the same time. It is a cool colour lavender at the moment. My husband is saying we still have lavender paint but I'm not that fussed on the colour. I am thinking of putting down some sort of vinyl or tile effect flooring as she has allergies and I think it will be good to do away with the carpet and easier to keep clean. I want to buy her a high sleeper with storage space underneath to give her more space to play. She likes to put posters/photos up so if you know of a large cork board or similar that would be great too.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.
Plenty of great ideas...I like the mirrors, sliding doors, chalkboard wall and thanks for making me think about what she likes...her clothes choices swing between pink,girly,butterflies and animal prints,sequin,glitter,metallic,faux black leather and flourescent colours...so lots of food for thought. Thank you soooo much. I'm quite excited about the project now :)
