Hi, I need your advice. we have a room in our house at the back which has a "floated" concrete floor under the carpet. When the people came to put in new carpet about ten years ago they pierced the concrete with their hammers. Lately we've been having damp problems which led to mould. We've dealt with the mould but how do we fix the floor? do we have to take all the old concrete up or can we just refloat the floor on top of the old concrete? its a bit of an issue because I have hyperacusis and serious health problems so can't leave the house, the noise will be a real problem if we have to have it all up.on the other hand we would like to only have to do this once.so any ideas? advice would be greatly appreciated....
