A couple of months ago I had a flood from upstairs into my ground floor flat, water went onto my ceiling from their bathroom and damaged my carpet, this is the second time it has happened. I asked the Landlord to pay for the carpet and he wouldn't, he only paid for the light bulb which got damaged.
I am even more annoyed now, I wanted cavity wall insulation, my flat is owned, the Landlord above rents the flat out, the Landlord above me once again said they were alright as they were, it would only have cost around £150!
Someone suggested I claim on the small claims court for the damaged carpet, my partner has now laid cheap tiles down, the carpet was OK until I had the flood! How do I claim from the small claims court? I live in the UK
