When we moved into our house a couple of months ago we changed the carpet in the living room but left the old underlay because the capet fitters said it's still fine. But since then terrible dark stains have come through our new cream carpet where it's most used, like doorways etc.. I would like to know if it's still not too late to change the underlay and give this carpet a good clean. I'd be very upset if there was nothing i could do to fix it, please help!
