Hi
My cat is very healthy, she's about 9 years old. Last night she (very unlike her) had an accident in the lounge (now thankful I chose wooden flooring instead of carpet!!) Her stools were very loose, almost runny, I also noticed it had a lot of blood in it, and what appeared to be blood clots. I've noticed she's eating a lot of grass lately, does anyone know what this could be? I'm a Nurse and if a patient had these symptoms I'd immediately suggest he visit his GP/take a stool sample. Should I do the same for the cat? (take her to the vet obviously!) Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rhianna
I read somewhere that cats and dogs eat grass to aid their digestion?
Someone said often cats have blood in their stools (to me it would seem abnormal for anything to have blood in it's stools)?
