My cat peed on the carpet in the closet, and sadly due to a very bad emergency I was unable to clean it until today and its' not only gone hard (I did sprinkle baking soda on it when it first happened), but my carpet shampooer cant seem to 'soften' it. It is still rock hard. Is this something to do with the baking soda? What can soften it up so I can finish cleaning it? This only happened in one spot so it baffles me as it cleaned up everywhere else, but its like GLUE was poured on the carpet!
As I said, Its the harness, I have a small carpet shampooer and its coming out anywhere, but these hard spots are weird. I dont even think its actually cat pee now, as its not discolored/yellow like where she did pee.
I wonder if some old soda leaked from the pop can bag I had sitting there? If so I should remove this question.
