Elderly father bought a new house with a bathroom that has a separate shower cubical. The shower has a step (maybe even two) that goes up to it. When he bought the house the previous occupant had had a carpet fitted. For hygiene reasons we ripped it up and ordered some non slip floor covering. Now, after ordering the carpet man who came to fit the lounge has announced that this type of covering can not be fitted onto a step! Now what are we to do? He suggested we paint it but it has old glue all over it and to get it looking good would take a lot work. Any suggestions about this please?
