Hey...
My 7 month old border collie puppy is becoming a bit of a nightmare. He is out 2/3 times a day + play time with me in the house and out to go to the toilet. However he keeps
- Biting when he is out of his cage... jumping up constantly and nipping
- When he goes to the toilet, and comes back in, we leave him out of his cage. When I leave him alone even for a minute, it dosent matter how long I was outside with him, he will poo on the carpet.
I have tried shouting, rattling a bottle of stones, holding his mouth closed, pointing and shouting at the poo with his face close to it... everything. Nothing seems to work.
Can anyone suggest anything? I dont want to leave him in his cage all day every day, but at this rate he will need to be in it or given away, both not good options!
Also, I dont know ehether this is a puppy thing but, when he sets his mind on something, he runs and runs to go do it. He refuses to listen. He likes to be dominant and I find it hard to control...
Also, Im finding a watery substance in his cage as well. I cant think it is wee, because it does not smell of anything but feels exactly like water. At first I thought it was his water bowl, but I cleaned it up took out the bowl and then the next morning there is was again. Im lost as to what it could be.
Simple suggestions that I cant try please!
Thanks
Chris
P.S He has not had the snip yet.....
