I work for a large contract cleaning company.I was recently asked to go to a cinema and clean up a large blood spill.A man had got sick and vomited roughly 2 pints of blood which was confirmed to be infected with hepatitis c.I told them i didnt want to do it but the managing director and my manager insisted that i go despite the fact that ive never been given any training on how to deal with blood even worse that it was infected.Also we were not given any proper equipment just a wet vacuum some carpet shampoo and a bucket and obviously a gloves and overalls.Where do i stand with this as im sick with worry.
