My daughter has a support worker because she signed a form accepting one whilst in hospital having her baby (premature baby via C section), they led her to believe they would help her with housing, (that she needed and had asked for) .and also things she may need for baby and herself..that was 11months ago, so far she has been given an adult bed sized, second hand duvet set and a fire guard, my daughter her partner and baby live with me in my home, where they have full access to all amenities in my home.
The support worker says my daughter has to follow all advice given and to attend mother and baby groups for her baby to interact with other babies..... or else... they will refer her to social services, my daughter already has friends with baby's of a similar age.......can the worker do this?
Also the worker walked into my daughters bedroom whilst her partner slept after being at work on long shifts even though he called out for her to go away and my daughter asked her not to go in and disturb him, the worker still walked in, my daughter had previously asked her to wait downstairs but she took herself upstairs, Can she do that?
The workers are saying my house is cold and that my carpets aren't clean/good enough for the baby to play on...
The worker brings other people with her like trainee's and does not ask if she can, also she said she had been ill and has to have someone with her...the last time she came there was 4 of them and a chap from the council so that made 5 folks in my home, apparently he was here to help her with accommodation, and they were just walking around inspecting my home......this is my home and my daughter is/was asking for help with housing this they said they would/could do.......why are they expecting me to decorate and buy/lay new carpets at expense (im unemployed and its my home it's not had children in it for years) My daughter is here on a temporary basis that is all, until she moves on...why should i make my home into a kindergarten......i have already bought everything for my grandchild needs, baby plays on mats and has walkers, bouncy door things, high chair, cot, lovely pram/pushchair and many interactive toys...i feel they are being very unreasonable. Since all this i now have the council on my back over having central heating put in and i don't want it.
