It's a bit of a long story but here goes and I thank anyone who get's back to me with some advice.....
Here goes:
I started renting a house of a friend of a friend I paid £1000 bond anyhow upon losing my job and having a baby I got myself in some rent arrears about 6 weeks at £126 a week. I havent been able to catch up so when my tenancy was up for renewal my landlord decided she was going to put the rent up another £50 a month (knowing i couldnt afford!! I reckon just a way to get me out) Anyhow i told her i wouldnt be renewing a serve me notice to quit which she didnt she got nasty with me over the rent arrears demanding the money straight away so my way out of it was to say take it out of the £1000 bond which she currently holds after chew she has agreed however she contacted housing benefit to say i was in 8wks arrears and now they have stopped my payments so my rent arrears are clocking up yet again. Anyhow to get to the point the £1000 bond i paid her hasnt been put into a bonding scheme she is a absolute nightmare and doesnt have a clue about renting property (cant produce rent statements, doesnt know her rights and is very sneaky ) Im worried incase she tries hitting me with damages i have 3 kids and there is a few stains on carpets and her french polished table has been damaged slightly on the corner the house is clean and spotless but because i know her background i know she is going get funny with me.
Can someone advise me on what they think i should do regarding her not putting my money into bonding scheme do i wait till she starts causing me probs? or do i seek legal advice now? she is coming for a viewing tomorrow and if she starts about the house not being to her liking i was going mention about the bonding scheme but then she could just put it in one correct? (and i wouldnt stand a chance of taking to court)
