I'm 18 and have moved out of my mum's home, but I'm here looking after my brothers while she is on holiday and have noticed that there are big furry patches of black mould growing in the carpets in various places in the living room. I think this is due to my youngest brother spilling orange juice and his dinner all over the carpet and leaving it damp (mother doesn't clean up often).
Are these a health risk? I sprayed it with a supermarket spray that is designed for "mould and mildew" and most of it dissappeared instantly -- but I'm a bit sceptical that it's actually gone, and could be growing underneath the carpet? What should I do now?
