my son is four and has asthma he has a qvar beclometasone preventer inhaler and also a ventolin inhaler but he constantly gets coughs, most of the time he gets given steroids for it from the doctor but there are occassions that they dont feel the need to give them to him, is there anything that can help his breathing and cough when they don't give him any steroids? we have tried numerous cough mixtures and they dont work, vicks, aromatherapy oils and nothing is working is there anything you have found to work, the poor mite misses so much school because of it and he isnt going tomorrow again as its back to the docs as he is barking away at the moment. Oh we even tried steam inhalation on its own and with eucaliptus oil and also steam inhalation with vicks (same really i know) also hanging a damp towel in his room at nights as it is worse at night when he has this cough. we have also done the usual cuddly toys out treat the mattress and even have a plastic cover over it so that helps with any dust his room is damp dusted etc etc etc the list is endless his carpet is shampood regularly and hoovered daily. please if you know anything please share it i would love a good nights sleep
thanks
