I have a very close friend. We should have got married years ago but the timing was never right. There is one key area where we are completely different. I research things in detail before I buy things like laptops and TVs. She has an overall idea about something's ability and then will buy something quite expensive more or less on impulse.
I need a carpet shampoo-er and we saw a Vax this morning in a well known chain store reduced from £150 to £90. She said get it and I said I'd look into it. A few more exchanges took place and she then kissed me and said happy birthday! It's not my birthday so what she actually meant was she'd buy it for me which stops the argument. I said I wouldn't be happy with that and she said ok and dragged me off to look at clothing for her.
