Our 2-year-old daughter has had a persistent cough for 5/6 months now, and although she has occasionally seemed to be suffering from a cold, the cough never seems to go. We've taken her to our GP several times and she has finally noticed some wheezing in her breath and we've now got a Ventolin inhaler so are worried that she might be developing asthma.
Does anyone have any additional tips or alternative remedies to alleviate the cough/wheezing? Do we need to wash/hoover floors and bedding more frequently (our house is mainly wood floor and has few carpets)? Should we prevent her from slepping with cuddly toys? Any dietary tips?
Any advice appreciated.
Also wanted to ask if we should wash all of her cuddly toys? Most say don't wash so worried they'll all shrink up inside!!
