I have just lifted our hall carpet to find lovely quarry tiles. I have given then a scrub with baking soda and removed as much of the glue as I can from where the carpet was stuck, but there are lots of black marks and white possibly from glue, floor stainer or polish. Does any one have any ideas for a cheap way to clean the tiles. Many thanks Demelza
Hadnt thought of white spirit which we have in the house and it seems to work well, just smells will need to keep the door open! Thank you
