I was looking at getting an air rifle, my problem is recently I moved from having 15 acres to a 10x20 meter garden. The back of the garden has a 7ft wall as is one side, the other a 4ft fence. The house is semi-detached, with 5 other houses on the fence side.
My main use would be target shooting with a pellet catcher so no rebounds. I would also use carpet to minimize impact noise, and not shoot from 1st floor (ground floor only) just so people don't see some guy with a rifle in the window.
Do you think my neighbors would have a problem with this? I wouldn't be shooting any live targets, like squirrels, magpies or pigeons, (although would use the rifle for this occasionally when I visit family with larger, secluded gardens) so they shouldn't have a reason to complain.
I would like a good rifle, pre-charged, one that is as quiet as possible again to avoid annoying the neighbors, so any suggestions?
Overall do you think this would be a good idea?
Thanks for your opinions.
I live in the UNITED KINGDOM, I know the laws. An air rifle is not a toy gun.
