A form of Autism or OCD?

Carpet Floors - the soft and comfortable side of living.

Just a question to ask some people and get their views. I am going to see a doctor, I just would like some peoples thoughts/views. A few years ago (around 5/6,) My mum was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I didn't know how it would effect me as such, but I learnt to grow up a hell of a lot quicker! Although me being a single child with my parents, meant that I did a lot of the cleaning, cooking, looking after the house all whilst coping with college/school etc! In turn this has and is still causing me stress, and a lot of it. I have noticed however over these years, that as I've been cleaning, my habits have meant my life is becoming quite revolved around them in a way? Such as hoovering, to get stripes in the carpet, cleaning to get rid of dust (even after we have had the cleaner in, which we do every two weeks) I feel like I need to clean. I clean when I'm upset or angry, it just gets rid of my stress, however it has turned to a new level where everything needs to be straight, the lounge rug and the sofas have to have parallel lines with one another, the mirrored objects in the kitchen cannot have fingerprints on etc. It has gotten to a new level where I am cleaning when It is clean. I also find that I will notice if something has been moved, and NEED to move it back to its original place. That's why I thought I may have some aspects, and Im not saying that I have it, just wanted peoples thoughts. Coming from the autistic side, which my parent have considered apparently, I find that I cannot express some of my emotions very well, take for example anger, I scream and shout, and with sadness, I do just have what I call a 'breakdown.' At the moment I am learning to drive with my instructor and during the lessons I just cannot complete what she is asking me to do and have a mental block, it is like in some ways I will do it wrong because I want the car to sound perfect e.g. I will stall because the sound of the car revs I hate. I Know that I have routine, and I just assumed that everyone liked routine, and yes I don't like change, and have to plan well in ahead so that I know whats going to happen on the day. I mean I look at autistic symptoms and think yes, I am clumsy, yes I hate eye contact, I think its really awkward and personal and when we think of it I was a really late developer as a baby, in terms of walking, I used to "crawl" on my belly and started talking quite late. I know it is a long question, and I don't expect many replies, but If anyone would take their time to put down some thoughts and opinions it would be much appreciated! Thank you (:
