I will be 39 weeks tomorrow with baby girl number 5 and so far i have not had any significant pre-labour signs. I do get very painful braxton hicks with period pains when i'm in bed along with a bit of back ache but it soon goes, and when i walk around during the day the braxtons are terrible and i get an amazingly heavy feeling down both legs along with a horrendous feeling of my little girl scratching the life out of the top of my cervix with her nails, and a little increase of discharge, last week was one wipe of clear stringy type and since about sunday thickish white( Sorry for tmi) .My baby is only 4-5 / 's palpable and although i have been doing a bit more house work (midwife suggested keep active) I certainly don't feel its nesting, more like jobs that NEED doing, clean windows (filthy since modernisation was done ) and use carpet cleaner (dog has been banned to sleeping in living room at night instead of our room since cot and crib were made up, he now pee's occasionally in protest). So with one week till due date can i expect to start feeling anything soon or am i just impatient?? Other 4 labours showed good signs before and i had very quick labours with each #1, 4 half hrs #2, 3-ish hours #3, 50 mins and baby 4, 1hour 40 mins, all normal biths and gas and air pain relief.
